I make your sweet potato, black bean, and feta frittata all the time and also use it as a base for my own creations – so I’m excited to try this as well.

For the reader saying this is not low calorie, I guess it all depends on your definition – I calculate this at around 220 calories / serving if divided into 6 portions, which sounds pretty light to me. I usually serve frittatas like this for dinner with some green salad, though potatoes or toast is nice if you want some carbs.

aadihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12066123931026169779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7059004868282194973.post-34734626884466124022016-01-09T17:13:03.891-05:002016-01-09T17:13:03.891-05:00What she means is 2 minutes one side, 2 minutes th...What she means is 2 minutes one side, 2 minutes the other side, then back two minutes on the first side, 2 minutes on side two, then one more 2 minute session on the first side...then remove. I had chateaubriand cuts from Fresh Market about 2" thick. So good!! Only problem is the house gets a little smoky when searing on the stovetop. It's a small sacrifice though ;-) Carrienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7059004868282194973.post-10845195821287227492015-03-05T19:39:27.847-05:002015-03-05T19:39:27.847-05:00They cooked perfectly, but were too salty. They cooked perfectly, but were too salty.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15557115739634191638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7059004868282194973.post-33015943016376609582015-01-18T19:38:57.418-05:002015-01-18T19:38:57.418-05:00The key to this recipe is a cast iron skillet and ...The key to this recipe is a cast iron skillet and a really good steak. I usually sear 5 "sides" - the top, bottom, and 3 sides. If you steak is not quite that thick, you could just sear the top and bottom and then go to the oven and roast. The "resting" for 5-10 minutes is what really makes these filets incredibly juicy.

Let me know if this makes sense...and hope you have a fabulous filet dinner! Quick question...

"When the skillet is ready, add the steaks and sear them evenly on all sides, for 2 minutes per side. Will take total of 10 minutes."

What do you mean by this? Doesn't each steak just have two sides? Top and bottom? That would total 4 minutes? What am I missing here?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7059004868282194973.post-21319958068773273172013-12-27T20:34:43.304-05:002013-12-27T20:34:43.304-05:00Perfect!
